Terms of service
1. The service
ZProMiners (the "pool") coordinates Zcash mining work at zprominers.com. You connect your own hardware, which searches for blocks on the Zcash network under the payout scheme you choose: SOLO, PROP or PPLNS. When the pool finds a valid block, that block's coinbase transaction assigns the miner reward directly to transparent addresses: to the finder in SOLO, or split between contributing miners in PROP and PPLNS, each at the address supplied as their username. The pool fee is a separate output of the same transaction.
2. No custody
The pool never holds or forwards your funds, and there is nothing to withdraw. Block rewards are created by the Zcash network inside the block the pool found. In PROP and PPLNS, every coinbase output is at least 0.0005 ZEC: if your part of a block is smaller, it is recorded and carried over, then written into the coinbase of a later pool block, together with your part of that block, once your running total reaches 0.0005 ZEC. A carried amount is settled only by a later pool block and is never held in a wallet, so if the pool finds no further block, it cannot be settled. If a block is orphaned, what it carried over or settled is undone.
3. Fees
Each payout scheme has its own fee: a percentage of the miner reward of each block the pool finds, taken as its own coinbase output and visible on any block explorer. Current fees: SOLO 2%, PPLNS 1%, PROP 1%. A fee change is announced on this website before it takes effect and applies only to blocks found afterwards.
4. Transparent payouts only
The pool only supports direct transparent coinbase payouts, so every reward stays public and auditable on chain. Shielded and unified addresses cannot be used as a username. Some exchanges do not accept deposits that come directly from a coinbase transaction. You are responsible for choosing an address that can receive them.
5. No guarantee of results
Mining is probabilistic. Nothing on this website is a promise that you will find a block in any period of time. Figures such as expected time to a block are statistical averages. A block can be orphaned by the network, in which case no reward exists for it. Coinbase rewards become spendable only after 100 confirmations under Zcash consensus rules.
6. Your responsibilities
- You are responsible for the address you mine to. Coins mined to a mistyped, lost or exchange-controlled address cannot be recovered by the pool.
- You may only connect hardware and hashrate that you are entitled to use.
- You are responsible for complying with the laws that apply to you, including tax obligations.
- You must not disrupt the service, for example by flooding it with connections or invalid shares. The pool may refuse or disconnect traffic that harms the service or other miners.
7. Availability and liability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. The pool may be interrupted for maintenance, network upgrades or reasons outside its control. If continuity matters to you, configure a backup pool in your miner. To the extent permitted by law, the pool is not liable for lost hashrate, lost or orphaned blocks, or indirect losses arising from use of the service.
8. Changes
These terms can change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest revision. Continuing to mine after a change means you accept the revised terms.
Privacy policy
What this website collects
This website does not set cookies and does not load analytics, advertising or tracking scripts. If you choose a colour theme, that choice is stored in your own browser only. The website is served through Cloudflare, which processes technical connection data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect it.
Blog comments
If you comment on a blog post, we store the name and text you submit, the post and language it belongs to, and a salted one-way hash of your IP address, used only to limit spam. We never store the IP address itself. Comments are published after moderation. To have a comment removed, email us with the post and the name you used.
Telegram alerts
If you use our Telegram bot, @zprominers_alerts_bot, we store your Telegram chat ID, your language, the Zcash addresses you add, your alert settings and the state needed not to repeat an alert. We use them only to send you the alerts you asked for. Send /stop to the bot to delete all of it at once; it is also deleted when you block the bot. Telegram delivers the messages under its own privacy policy.
What the pool processes
To operate, the pool processes the Zcash address and worker names your miners send, the shares they submit, derived statistics such as hashrate, best share and, in PROP and PPLNS, each miner's share of a block, and the IP address each miner connects from. Statistics per address are public on this website, in the same way that addresses and blocks are public on the Zcash blockchain. IP addresses are used to operate and protect the service and are not published or shared with third parties.
Retention
Individual shares are kept only briefly. Aggregated statistics such as hashrate history are kept longer so that the charts on this website work. Amounts carried over in PROP and PPLNS are kept until they are settled. Records of found blocks are kept permanently, as they are on the blockchain.
