PPS+ turns hashing into a predictable income: every accepted share earns a fixed value based on the network difficulty, and transaction fees are shared on top. The operator carries the luck risk instead of the miners.
How PPS+ works
Under PPS, each accepted share earns its expected value: the 1.25 ZEC miner reward divided by the expected number of shares per block. The plus adds transaction fees, shared in a way similar to PPLNS.
Because the reward per share is fixed, bad luck no longer touches the miner. That stability is why PPS+ is popular with large farms that budget their power costs month by month.
PPS+ is planned for ZProMiners. Until it launches, PPLNS offers the closest balance of steady rewards and direct coinbase payouts.
A good fit when
- You budget power costs monthly and want income that matches.
- You do not want pool luck to affect your rewards.
- You switch pools rarely and value predictability over upside.
Think twice when
- You want rewards written straight into the coinbase today: use PPLNS or PROP.
- You enjoy the lottery upside of solo mining.
- You prefer schemes where the pool never carries a balance.
