Zcash solo mining Find a block, keep the block reward.
Solo mining puts all the luck on your side of the table. Your machines hunt for blocks on their own, and when one of them finds a block, its coinbase writes the miner reward straight to your t-address.

How SOLO works
Every share your miner submits is a lottery ticket against the network difficulty. Most tickets lose. The one that wins is a whole block, and the pool writes its coinbase so that the miner reward goes to the finder's address, with the pool fee as a separate output.
Nothing is shared and nothing is owed between rounds. There is no balance with us and no payout threshold: the network itself delivers the reward inside the block you found.
Your expected income over a long period matches pooled mining before fees. What changes is the rhythm: instead of a steady trickle, rewards arrive as rare, full blocks. The calculator shows your average wait at today's difficulty.
A good fit when
- You run a large farm and can live with long gaps between blocks.
- You want every block you find to belong to you alone.
- You like the lottery: a single Antminer can still find a block.
Think twice when
- You need predictable income to pay for power every month.
- Your hashrate is small and a long dry spell would worry you.
- You would rather see a little reward from almost every pool block.
